Stuff Happening In Perf

This weekend is going to be massive.

First on Friday night is The Whip at Shape. 8-Bit rock at its finest that you can dance your ass off to. Riding the tidal wave of dance rock, get ready to be whipped into shape, ha sometimes I surprise myself.

The Whip - Sister Siam (James Rutledge Remix)

The Whip - Dubsex

Saturday night is the seven headed - 56 fingered juggernaut that is !!! rolls into town for what promises to be one of the shows of the year. The amount of good reports I have heard about these guys is just ridiculous and to say I can't wait would be one of the biggest fucking understatements ever.

!!! - Sweet Life

!!! - Take Ecstasy With Me (Magnetic Fields Cover)

Sunday will take in the We Love Ministry of Sounds the poor man's version of the East Coast tour but hey beggars can't be choosers. There are some good acts Mixmaster Mike, Cassius, Oizo, Ajax and Bonde De Role (with new femmes), hopefully they're all at the one venue so we don't have to venue hop too much.

Cassius - Feeling For You

Jamie Lidell - Little Bit Of Feelgood (Mr Oizo remix)

Bonde De Role - Solta o Frango (crstbl rmx)

Lost Valentinos - Face is on the Wall (Ajax Remix)

The Friday after that is the Berlin Sessions with electro-tech wizards Ellen Allien and Modeselektor and one of my absolute favourite producers of the moment LINDSTROM!!! Space disco is blaring out of my stereo a lot these days and Hans Peter Lindstrom is at the forefront. He and his Olsoians/Oslites??? (people from Oslo) buddies Prins Thomas and Diskjokke are killing it everywhere. Cannot wait for this one, get your tix early as I reckon this might sellout rather quickly.

Modeselektor - Sillkon

Ellen Allien - Caress

Lindstrom - Another Station (Todd Terje Remix)

And as a bonus mp3 cos its fucking hot (recommended)

Diskjokke - Folk I Farta

Love Yous All

What did you think of the !!! show?

!!! was epic, couldn't decide where I wanted to look on stage as there was so much going on. Leadman Offer was superb, good gags and the music was just awesome, couldn't fault it, though would have been nice of them to play for 3 hours, could have quite easily listened to it for a lot longer

Yeah they were pretty tight. I know I was hoping for a few more old songs, but wasn't disappointed at all. Good use of cowbell too ;)
